Larissa Ramos to start her international trip as Miss Earth 2009


Larissa Ramos to officially start her international travels as Miss Earth. During her three months stay back home in her country after winning the crown in November, Larissa participated in various events and travels. Recently, she travelled to Ouro Preto, a world heritage site desginated by UNESCO, in the state of Minas Gerais. She was enchanted by the beauty of the city and both the locals and tourists were enchanted by her beauty as well! In early March she was invited to São Paulo for the Formula Indy car race and participated in the world famous Rio Carnival.

Larissa will return to the Philippines on April 10th arriving in Manila, from which will then travel to Vietnam together with Carousel Productions team, to attend the official contract signing ceremony of Vietnam hosting the 2010 Miss Earth pageant.

The 2010 Miss Earth pageant is scheduled for November and Larissa is expected to return to Vietnam to advertise the event. Larissa is also planned to travel all over the Philippines and other Asian countries in the coming months. On July, Larissa will return home to her native country to help prepare for the *Miss Earth Brazil pageant to be held in Belo Horizonte this September where she will crown two young women: her successor (as national titleholder) and appointed contestant for 2010 Miss Earth pageant and this year’s winner who will represent Brazil in 2011.

On November, Larissa will hand over her crown to the new Miss Earth in Vietnam.

*This year’s Miss Earth Brazil pageant will be held in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais from 4th – 12th of September. The finals will take place at the state’s largest and most spacious venue, Minas Centro and for the first time the pageant will be televised throughout the country. Each contestant, representing cities and eco-tourism spot, will compete for the title during the telecast and the winner will represent Brazil at next year’s Miss Earth pageant. Her runners-up will also compete in other international pageants at the discretion of the pageant organizer base on their performance in the pageant.

Also during the telecast, announcement will be made on who will be Brazil’s contestant for 2010 Miss Earth pageant which will be chosen in advance by the pageant organizers.
